The Mavic 3 Pro by DJI is equipped with three cameras, including a 4/3 24mm lens, a 70mm lens, and a 166mm lens.

Today, DJI unveiled the Mavic 3 Pro, an upgraded version of the Mavic 3 that boasts an improved telephoto camera and a new midrange zoom camera. Notably, it is the first drone to feature a triple camera system.

The Mavic 3 Pro's primary sensor is the same 20MP Four Thirds 24mm Hasselblad camera found on the Mavic 3, with a variable f/2.8-11 aperture. It is capable of recording ProRes video at 5.1k resolution (5120×2700px) up to 50fps, as well as DCI 4K (4096x2160px) and regular 4K (3840x2160px) at up to 120fps in 10-bit D-Log.

The primary sensor of the Mavic 3 Pro provides a dynamic range of 12.8 stops and features Hasselblad's Natural Color Solution (HNCS) color science, which the renowned brand claims will produce accurate colors without any further adjustments.

Additionally, the drone is equipped with a new 48MP 1/1.3" 70mm f/2.8 3x midrange telephoto camera that is capable of capturing 4K video at up to 60fps, as well as a 10-bit D-Log. It can also capture 12MP binned still images.

The Mavic 3 Pro's third camera is a 12MP 1/2" 7x 166mm f/3.4 telephoto lens, capable of supporting 4K video at up to 60fps. In comparison, the Mavic 3 had a 162mm zoom lens with an f/4.4 aperture. This camera also offers 10-bit video capture in Apple ProRes, or 8-bit H.264/H.265.

The triple camera system is mounted on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal that stabilizes tilt, roll, and pan. The Mavic 3 Pro is equipped with omnidirectional sensors for obstacle avoidance from all angles.

Moreover, the new drone supports DJI's latest O3+ transmission, which can transmit 1080/60p live feed at a distance of up to 15 kilometers (although it is recommended to keep the drone in sight at all times).

The Mavic 3 Pro has a flight time of up to 43 minutes, which is the same as the Mavic 3. It also includes all of DJI's intelligent features, such as Waypoint Flight (which allows for preset flight paths), Cruise Control (the drone can fly in any direction without stick input), Advanced Return to Home (the drone can return to the user with obstacle avoidance), FocusTrack (the main and medium telephoto cameras can track a preset object in the frame), QuickShots (Dronie, Rocket, Circle, Helix), as well as MasterShots, where the drone will automatically shoot and edit a video.

The Mavic 3 Pro is available for $2,199/€2,099 with the DJI RC controller. The Fly More Combo with the RC controller is priced at $2,999/€2,799, while the Fly More Combo with the RD Pro controller costs $3,899/€3,499. There is also a Mavic 3 Pro Cone model that comes with a built-in 1TB SSD, which is available in a Fly More Combo with the RC Pro controller for $4,799/€4,599.
